I had a solid stay at the Chao She Hotel. The staff was super friendly, the location was pretty convenient, and I enjoyed my back-view balcony. However, the room felt a bit small, and there were no breakfast options available, which made mornings a little tricky.

My quadruple room was comfortable, but I found it to be a bit small for my family. It was perfectly clean, though, which I appreciated.
Service

The staff were really friendly, though there were moments when communication was tough due to language barriers. Overall, I found them responsive when I reached out about late check-ins.

The location was a highlight for me! It was within walking distance to the Cianjin MRT station and close to a night market and grocery stores. I liked how it was in a quieter area of Kaohsiung.
Dining

The dining options were a bit underwhelming since there was no breakfast available. I had to prepare my own snacks, which was a bit of a hassle.
Facilities

The hotel had decent facilities with clean sheets, strong AC, and free snacks and coffee in the lobby, but there was no dedicated housekeeping due to staffing.

I had a mixed experience during my six-night stay. On the positive side, the price was affordable, and the location was convenient for exploring the surrounding areas. However, there were several issues, including a loud buzzing fan, insufficient electrical outlets, and a lack of proper cleaning upon my arrival.
Rooms

I stayed in a Standard Twin Room, which unfortunately felt cramped and did not resemble the pictures I saw. The room was dirty upon check-in, and the buzzing fan made it hard to sleep.

The staff were friendly but often unhelpful when it came to addressing problems. Housekeeping was unavailable at night, which made my situation worse when I needed assistance.

The location was decent, with a 7/11 nearby and relatively close to public transit options. It wasn't too central, but it was easy enough to get to other places in Kaohsiung.

Breakfast was disappointing. I was handed a coupon for a small shop across the street, and the food options were quite limited.
Facilities

Facilities were basic, with only one water dispenser that was broken. This made things a bit inconvenient.

I enjoyed the location, as it was close enough to walk to major attractions in Kaohsiung. but the room left much to be desired. It was quite small, dirty, and not well maintained. The staff were friendly, but I felt frustrated with some aspects of my stay.
Rooms

The Standard Twin Room was small and not particularly clean, with some mold in the bathroom grout. The bed configuration was uncomfortable, resembling two twins pushed together instead of a proper double.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, but there were issues with housekeeping. They even forgot to arrange cleaning once during my stay.

The hotel's location is a plus, situated in a quiet area yet not far from key tourist spots in Kaohsiung. I appreciated being near public transport.

Breakfast was a disappointment, consisting of a simple fried egg wrapped in a tortilla, with limited options and it wasn't even served in the hotel which was inconvenient.

Housekeeping was not available at night and the overall facilities could use improvement, as some items were broken and there wasn't enough cleaning staff.

I stayed at Chao She Hotel for six nights, and while I enjoyed the excellent location and quick responses from the staff, there were some issues that affected my overall experience. The check-in process was a bit challenging due to language barriers, but the climate control in my room was a much-appreciated comfort in the hot weather. However, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, especially when I noticed some dirt and minor maintenance issues.
